  5. We at CONSULTRON would like to thank you for purchasing CrossDOS.  We
  6. are  always  trying  to  provide  you with a quality product for your
  7. productivity needs.

  9. The files included with this archive are patches to be applied to the
  10. CrossDOS (full READ/WRITE) installation disk.  [Please make a copy of
  11. the installation disk first].
  12.  
  13. The major feature enhancements for Version 4.00a of CrossDOS are:
  14. - faster floppy data access; improvements to "mfm.device"
  15. - AmigaDOS V2.0 compatible
  16. - better error reporting
  17. - electronic bulletin board suport

  21. Patching CrossDOS International
  22.  
  23. The  patches  are  applied  in  a sequence that will create V4.00a of
  24. "L/MSDOSFileSystemINTL"  and  "L/MSDOSFileSystemDK"  from  V4.00a  of
  25. "L/MSDOSFileSystem".   You MUST upgrade your CrossDOS product disk to
  26. V4.00a using "CDP400a.lzh" first.

  28. You can install the patches from either WORKBENCH or the CLI.
  29.  
  30. To install the patches from the CLI, type the following:
  31.  
  32.     cd <patch_dir>          ; the directory where the patch files are.
  33.     execute patchMFSINTL df0:  ; df0: or drive where CrossDOS disk in.
  34.  
  35. To install the patches from WORKBENCH, select the "patchMFSINTL" icon
  36. and  extend-select  (with  shift  key held) the CrossDOS installation
  37. disk icon.  ["ICONX" is assumed to be in your "C:" directory.]

  39. The messages should display the status of the patching process.  Once
  40. the   patches   are   applied,   you   should   re-install   the  new
  41. "L/MSDOSFileSystemINTL"  and  "L/MSDOSFileSystemDK"  into  your  "L:"
  42. directory.

  46. Distribution Rights

  48. Please  distribute  this  archive INTACT to any legal bulletin board.
  49. We  are  allowing  registered purchasers of CrossDOS to upgrade their
  50. version  of the product (Version 4) to the current release at no cost
  51. as  long  as they use these patches.  Those who do not have access to
  52. these  patch  files  may  send  in $10.00, the original disk, and the
  53. completed  warranty  card.   We  will  update the disk to the current
  54. version and send it back.

  56. Updating "pirated" versions of CrossDOS are legally prohibited.

  59. redistributable.   All  rights  for  this  program  are  retained  by
  60. Lattice.

  64. Updates to CrossDOS Utilities
  65.  
  66. There  have  also  been some updates to the CrossDOS utilities.  This
  67. new  files  are  contained  in  a separate file called "CDU400a.lzh".
  68. Most  of  the changes are to provide better WORKBENCH support.  A new
  69. utility  has  been  added that executes the appropriate "TDPatch" and
  70. "mount"  all  the  floppy drives on your system without the need of a
  71. mountlist file.
